Webs.com introduced six new website templates in February. I wanted to update my site with one of these new professional designs, but other things took priority over my personal website and blog. Things like extra writing assignments while my husband was unemployed, his eventual new job, and our move to San Antonio.
Now that we're settled into our "new" apartment -- a temporary dwelling, since we hope to find a nicer, larger home before the end of our lease -- I have more time for my website and blog. Of course, my work for Break Studios, Textbroker, and other clients doesn't leave much time for my personal sites. But this week, I finally managed the update.
I changed my website template from "Clean Splash" to "Dark Camera" for a fresh, new look that is clean and professional. I also edited the content, worked a little on search engine optimization (SEO), and added a Twitter feed. A new page called "Bookshelf" features my current reads along with their Amazon links. And I added content widgets to my "Samples" page.
Grace Notes, my personal blog, has been sadly neglected since Christmas. But I'm working with some ideas for new Blogger blogs which I plan to launch this summer. My blog topics include pets, classic movies, and Christian living. Thanks for your patience, and stay tuned for launch date announcements.
Blessings, Annette Smith
